Pleasant Streets is Pleasant Ridge’s Traffic Committee. We’re a group of community volunteers working to improve traffic concerns in Pleasant Ridge. Our goal is to:
Serve as a PR community forum concerning safe access for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians and runners
Educate and inform the PR community about safety
Encourage the hosting of safe cycling, walking and running events in the area
Report and recommend improvements to traffic, cyclist, pedestrian and runner issues to the Pleasant Ridge Community Council
We plan to increase awareness of basic rights and responsibilities on the roadway to encourage a culture of common courtesy and respect, and to improve traffic safety for everyone.
Beginning in Spring 2017, Pleasant Streets will promote messages encouraging safe and legal roadway behavior for motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists throughout the PR community.
We’ll meet monthly on Wednesdays or Sundays. If you would like to join the committee or attend a meeting, or have something to contribute for our consideration, please join our Facebook page: Pleasant Streets
