The PRCC has established a
small group of volunteers to more actively encourage and
support our local business community. These volunteers
will be the
Pleasant Ridge
Business Ambassadors. Business owners will be
assigned one ambassador who will help them with
all their needs and be their one point of contact for
communication with the PRCC and the community.
The first order of
business is to create a Business to Business directory.
This directory will contain profiles of each
establishment within Pleasant Ridge; and will initially
be in hard copy and available for distribution. Beyond
this, efforts will be made to expand it and to include
it on the PRCC website.
We hope this
directory will help our local businesses become more
visible within the community and help you drive sales.
We also hope this will help attract new businesses to
create a more thriving business district.
Businesses who have not
yet responded to our initial survey can get a copy at
this
LINK.
The Business Committee
meets on the second Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at
the Gas Light. You can obtain further information by
contacting Molly Blenk at
business@pleasantridge.org.
Going into the Pleasant Ridge business District? :Where Do I Park?
For years, Pleasant Ridge has had a tough time providing ample parking for local businesses and their customers. There has been some great progress to ensure ample parking in our business district recently.
There are three public lots that are designated for business patron parking. These lots allow you to park for free for three hours to patronize businesses. They are located:
- Behind Walgreens on Montgomery Rd.
- Next to Mullaney’s Pharmacy at the corner of Montgomery and Ridge
- On Orion Ave, right off of Ridge Rd near the intersection of Montgomery.
The lot on Orion Ave has recently been redeveloped. The community received a $10,000 grant to clean up, reduce blight and better utilize this lot. The lights are fantastic and that lot is no longer dark nor crowded. Please take advantage of these lots when you are driving in the ridge.
We have also installed some new “P” signs along Montgomery and Ridge Rd that point you to these lots. Our hopes are that these signs and the revitalization of these lots will increase business for our local businesses and attract new viable businesses to the Ridge.
