The Pea Pod Cafe
Here is what's happening this week at The Pea Pod Cafe:
NEW HOURS - The Pea Pod Cafe has extended their hours. They will be
open Tuesday through Friday 11am-4pm and Saturday 11am-7pm.
ART - Using a Cincinnati Art Academy education as her foundation,
Rebecca Weller has spent the last five years studying and working out
of her studio. An exploration of the master's styles and techniques has
served well the development of her unique and evolving style. A
strikingly narrow range of colors and a painterly hand, combined with a
deft combination of thin glazing and opaque layers of paint,
characterize the Asian-inspired paintings created by Weller. Her exploration
of this foreign culture has led to a profound cultural awareness.
Rebecca's work will be exhibited throughout the cafe.
Brandon Dawson will be performing in the Pea Pod Community Room
Saturday, September 20 from 3-5pm. Originally from Idaho, Brandon relocated
his family to Ohio several years ago in search of a new start. Since
then, he's crossed the globe managing tours with Over the Rhine and Kim
Taylor. Off the road now and back in Cincinnati, Brandon is
concentrating on his own fusion of soul, blues, and straight ahead rock
& roll, owing his songwriting craft as much to Van Morrison and
George Harrison as to Chris Whitley and Jeff Lynne. You can learn more
about Brandon at: http://www.bluejordan.com
