Mayor's
Community Recycling Challenge
Twenty five communities have signed up for
the Mayor's Recycling Challenge. Each community has been given a goal for
signing up their neighbors for new recycling bins. Only residents who never have
had a recycling bin before will be counted towards the goal. The communities
that meet their goal will receive $250. The community that distributes the most
recycling bins will win an additional $1,000 for their community.
So where do I sign up? Click this link

Upcoming events:
Ridge Day Planning:
Ridge day
is going to be Saturday, July 12th . The parade kicks off the event again
this year at 11:15. If your street would like to have a float or walk in the
parade, we would love to have you participate! Click here for a parade entry. Please pass this on the anyone (or any group) who you know who may be
interested... boy scouts/girl scouts, sports teams, church groups... truly any
group is welcome. We would love to have more Pleasant Ridge streets involved
this year. We have already had a lot of interest in the parade and have secured
Roger Bacon Band again. It should be a great time! Hope to see you there!
As is the case with any event of
this nature, we rely on our wonderful volunteers to help us put on this event.
If you or any of your neighbors are able to help us out that weekend (Friday, Saturday
or Sunday) for any time increment please contact our volunteer coordinator Mary
Winn Godar: marywinn@fuse.net or
513-979-2622. On Saturday there is the greatest need for volunteers. We
specifically need people for the food booth, selling tickets, and working the
kids games in shifts from 12-2 and 2-4.
Thanks for all your help in making
Ridge Day 2008 a success!
