1) Next Week and Other Future Events

District A

District A will be launched on 10/11/08!
Have you seen the Street Festival banners and posters?  It's time to get involved and join the fun of community building in Kennedy Heights and Pleasant Ridge.

Visit www.district-a.org to see the full schedule of events and discover how you can help District A succeed.  We need people to greet our guests and to work behind the scenes, to help set the stages and to take them down.  Sign up on-line for the job that suits you.

All of us will have plenty of time on 10/11 to enjoy the Festival.  Walk or run District A with your family, friends or the neighbors you just met cutting down tree limbs together.  Try a free dance class at ballet tech.  Hear Adagio Trio, JazzItUp, the C.O.D.E., or a dozen other bands and entertainers.  Visit outdoor arts stations at Kennedy Heights Arts Center, the Art Show & Sale at McFarland Corner, and five 'lifetime' artists of District A (Noel and Coletta Martin, Gordon Baer, and Nancy and Bruce Neville who will offer demonstrations).  Enjoy Frisch Marionettes and the magic of Tom Bemmes.  Make community art happen with Happen, Inc.  All this and more is right here in District A on Saturday, 10/11!  Where else would you want to be?

Art Show in the Ridge!
