Do you enjoy writing?  What about drawing?  How about meeting other artists?  If this sounds like fun and you wish to be a 1 diamond artist (100 Diamonds and Other Gems) you can do that and more with Writers of Outstanding Words this summer.  Join us at the Pleasant Ridge Library from June to August 2008.  Space is limited.  For more information contact Ms. Sabrina Barron at (513) 731-0847.

This successful program has been helping children in Cincinnati write and publish their work for many years.  Come see what you can do!  In 2007 the children also practiced public speaking and showed their artwork at the Children's Museum.

On Tuesday, July 1, Pleasant Ridge residents are invited to enjoy a free cup  of coffee with SORTA Board Chair Melody Sawyer Richardson and Metro CEO  Marilyn Shazor and to share their thoughts about how Metro should grow.
 
The coffeehouse visit is part of Metro's grow*METRO campaign, a
Community  outreach initiative that seeks input about transportation options and how  those options should change in the future.
 
The grow*METRO outreach in Summer 2008 will help define community Priorities  for Metro's next stage of growth.  This effort supports Metro's long-range effort to become a world-class, intensely customer focused organization.

Join us for a fun-filled production of The Four Gallant Sisters performed by our Journey of Self-Discovery Camp members.  This comic adventure of deception, growth and self-discovery will be performed by our 7-9 year old actors, with the able direction of local actress and arts educator, Kate Wilford; and with fabulous sets, costumes and surprises created by the students with direction from local artist and puppeteer, Robin Hartman.  Everyone is invited to join us for a pot luck celebration immediately following the show.
